The nail-biting 11-inning matchup where the Los Angeles Dodgers defeat the Toronto Blue Jays by one run attracted a combined 51M watchers in the US, Canadian, and Japanese markets. MLB reported this marks the most-watched Fall Classic Game 7 since the 1991 contest featuring the Twins and Braves.

It additionally stands as the top-rated World Series game since the 2017 edition final game between the Dodgers and Astros, which averaged 29.07 million. This represents a 16% increase over the last finale featuring the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros, which drew 23.19 million viewers.

In the Nielsen ratings, the sixth game placed 4th, Game 4 was seventh, the fifth game came in 8th, and the third game landed in 13th position.

In the Canadian market, the climactic game recorded over 11 million watchers on Sportsnet and the French TVA Sports. This was the highest-rated English-language program in Canada since the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

In Japan, where the deciding game began at 9 PM in the local time zone, it attracted 12 million. This came after last Friday’s Game 6 – in which Fall Classic MVP Yamamoto gave up one run in six frames – recorded 13.1 million spectators, making it the highest-rated Fall Classic game on a sole broadcaster in the country.
